Worship the King
The main reason we come together as a family of God is to worship the Lord. When we humbly put our faith and trust in Him we receive His blessing, guidance and peace that passes all understanding. We hope you will experience the healing touch of His grace today.
Serve the Lord
We are privileged to serve the living God. And, we count it a responsibility and an honor to serve others as Jesus Christ served us. At our church, there are many opportunities for you to to use your gifts to reach out to others.
Learn the Word
We believe the Bible is God’s perfect Word and is relevant to every generation. The Scriptures instruct us in truth and inspire us to please God with our daily lives. We hope you join with us in studying the Word!
Enrich your Lives
Being a believer in Jesus is a wonderful adventure! There are many ways members can experience the life-changing touch of God here-through exciting ministries, Bible studies and special programs, children and adults of all ages can live out their faith in action.
Build lasting Friendships
The bonds between Christian friendships are like no others. We believe in cultivating relationships and strengthening these bonds between members of our church. You’ll discover that encouragement, accountability, service and love are the hallmarks of friendships here. And, our arms are always open to welcome new friends!
Calvary Baptist Church exists to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ through spiritual worship, to edify believers through sound Biblical preaching and teaching, to evangelize those who need our Savior, and to be light in a world that is dark and salt in a corrupt world.
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where the hurting, the lonely, the depressed and the seeking can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where those who have no hope and are in unbelief might meet a Savior Who loves them so much that He shed His blood on the cross so they might have everlasting life.
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where the Word of God will be preached in spirit and truth, and a place that will stand without apology for the fundamentals of the faith.
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where believers will grow in their personal relationship with their Savior through a study and application of God’s Word. A place where they will grow through serving one another and reaching out to those who are lost.
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where families will grow in their relationships with one another; that men will develop into godly and loving leaders, that wives will become “virtuous” women, that children and young people will grow into mature and godly adults
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where believers will faithfully and diligently keep the “Great Commission” as well as the “Great Commandment.”
It is our prayer that Calvary will be a place where families can find ministries to meet the needs of every age group and opportunities to exercise their spiritual gifts through serving.
Most of all, it is our prayer that God will send to Calvary new families who desire to grow and serve; who have a hunger for God’s Word; who have a burden for lost souls; and who have a desire to be a part of a caring, warm church family.
The Bible says . . . “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life . . .” (1 John 5:13). God wants us all to know that we are going to Heaven, and we must do it God’s way. First, we are all sinners. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God . . .” (Romans 3:23). Second, because of our sin, we are under the penalty for sin. “For the wages of sin is death . . .” (Romans 6:23). This penalty means eternal separation from God in eternal Hell. However, God does not want anyone to go to Hell, so He sent His only Son to die and pay the penalty for our sins. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Third, God’s love is so great that He made a way for our sins to be forgiven. He offers His forgiveness and salvation freely. “ . . . the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). God offers Heaven as a gift, purchased with His blood on the cross. But like all gifts, it is not yours until you receive it. Here is how you can receive Christ: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). Finally, you must believe in your heart and call on the Lord to save you. “For whosoever shall call upon thename of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Will you pray right now and ask Christ to save you from your sin?
